UNIQUE MULTI-SEASON ROOFTOP
Recover worked with Earls Kitchen and Bar at the iconic Prudential Center in Boston to transform an underutilized rooftop into a 3,200-square-foot convertible indoor/outdoor rooftop patio. Complete with intimate planted spaces, smart irrigation, concrete paver patio, retractable cover system, and patio heaters, this adaptable rooftop now serves as a multi-season addition to Earls existing interior space.
Recover installed a paver patio and dozens of free-standing and custom built-in-place planters integrated with subsurface irrigation across the roof. A variety of perennials including small trees, shrubs, and climbing vines, as well as seasonally-dependent accent annuals transform the space into a unique, lush dining experience. Recover monitors and maintains irrigation remotely using a smart irrigation system that analyzes system functionality and local weather data.
