The roof of this eighteen-unit residence in the converted historic Dahlgren Hall functions as a common area for the condominium owners with dining space, lounge furniture, deck, and pergola.
Recover installed planters of lightweight green roof media around the roof deck that provide optimal plant nutrient requirements while satisfying the structural load capacity of the building. Large box planters with birch, Japanese maple, and flowering cherry trees frame the deck and lounge space; shrubs, grasses and flowering perennials add depth, color, and resources for pollinators.
