THE PS118 PILOT
This 3,200-square-foot green roof was completed in partnership with Highview Creations of New York and the New York Department of Environmental Protection. The project served as part of a case study to compare the impact of extensive green and blue roofs with traditional ballasted roof systems.

The project collected stormwater management performance data over a three-year period, and found green roofs to be significantly beneficial in the reduction of stormwater runoff.

"Overall, bioretention source controls appear to come close to fully managing the 1-inch rainfall."
