About us
Recover’s team is made up of young professionals who are LEED AP builders, Landscape Architects, environmental engineers, landscape contractors and Green Roof Professionals. Our designers and builders are supported by an office staff who keep operations running smoothly while focusing on customer service.
Recover’s operational decisions are grounded within a philosophy of long term social, environmental and economic synergy, and we are constantly working to improve our processes.
Brendan Shea, Project Manager
Brendan's career is grounded in over ten years of experience working for the New England representative of Clivus Multrum, specializing in innovative, onsite wastewater engineering. A LEED accredited professional, Brendan has worked on over a dozen LEED projects and has extensive experience with project management and design-build implementation. His projects include designing and building indoor greywater recycling and aerobic blackwater treatment systems, which address structural support, system integration, waterproofing, drainage and plant vitality – the fundamentals of green roofs. His natural transition into the green roof industry allows Brendan to combine his passion for plants with his knowledge of water engineering.
Mark Winterer, Business Development
Owner and founder of Recover, Mark earned an MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University where he became involved with Net Impact, an international organization committed to responsible business leadership. Mark’s experience with Net Impact inspired him to develop a business that would contribute to a more sustainable economy while accommodating our growing population. His research into renewable energies and energy efficiencies lead to his discovery of the incredible benefits of green roofs, and he soon became one of the first accredited Green Roof Professionals (GRP) in New England. With experience in operational logistics, supply chain management, and customer service, Mark put together a team to help recover our neighborhoods.
